TogetherSF is a nonprofit organization with a mission to increase civic engagement and education in San Francisco. Our organization began as a pandemic mutual aid response program and has expanded into a Mission District-based hub for events, education, and connection. We’re dedicated to making San Francisco into a city that works for everyone — a city of action and compassion that addresses its citizens’ most urgent needs and invests in our collective future.

Kanishka Cheng
Founder/CEO
Kanishka believes that San Francisco can be a world-class city and co-founded TogetherSF to help San Franciscans make it happen. She holds an MA in Urban Planning from UCLA and has 15+ years of experience in city government, housing, and community development. -
Margaux Kelly
Chief Community Officer
Margaux has over 15 years of experience in outreach and community engagement working for San Francisco County Supervisors and Mayors. Now, she leads TogetherSF's community team in creating unique and exciting event programming. -
Tanya Melillo
Chief Operating Officer
Tanya has lived and worked in SF for 15 years and guides TogetherSF’s strategy, marketing and operations. She holds a BA from Harvard and an MBA from Stanford, though neither is particularly helpful in her hardest role—mom of two. -
Rob Aiavao
Government Affairs Manager
Rob is a fourth-generation San Franciscan. He's passionate about helping residents understand the complex issues facing our city and how they can organize to effectively advocate for positive change in their communities.

Sarah Davidson
Creative Director
Sarah may have grown up in Portland, but California has her heart. She shapes TogetherSF's branding from Instagram to IRL. She is a graduate of Northwestern University and has worked in media for 10 years. -
Jordan DeAngelo
Operations Associate
Jordan grew up in San Francisco and is a graduate of Oberlin College. He provides operational and strategic support for the entire TogetherSF team. In his free time he enjoys trying out local restaurants and perusing art museums. -
Jake Decker
Senior Organizer
Jake moved to the Bay Area in 2010 and has been working in politics for over 20 years. Jake spends every day meeting with residents of San Francisco who want to get involved and make a difference.

Shawn Dillon
Social Media & Content Manager
Shawn moved to San Francisco after college 15 years ago and immediately fell in love with the city. As TogetherSF’s Content Manager, he works to tell San Francisco’s story to build a better San Francisco for future generations.

Spencer Lam
Research and Policy Manager
Spencer is TogetherSF’s resident bookworm. Since graduating from San Francisco State University, he’s filled roles in politics from canvasser to consultant. Now his research and recommendations help guide TogetherSF’s strategy. -
Sophie Marie
Data Analyst
Sophie was born and raised in the Richmond District. After graduating from Boston University with a master’s degree in political science, Sophie moved back to serve her community in her role at TogetherSF.

Senior Organizer
Devin has a rich background leading political campaigns for over 10 years, including campaign management, digital fundraising, and community outreach. Now, he’s building community in TogetherSF’s Community Outreach department—when he isn’t hustling on the pool table.

Director of Growth Marketing
Andrea moved to San Francisco for “just two years” a decade ago and never left. She leads Together SF’s Marketing & Growth strategies and has 10 years of experience in growing communities.

Kyle Politz
Event Coordinator
Kyle was born and raised in San Francisco and has been volunteering and working in local politics since long before he graduated from Seattle University. Now, he creates learning and educational experiences for all TogetherSF event attendees.

Field Director
Josh was born in San Francisco and grew up on the peninsula. His career has led him to work on races from school boards to the White House. Josh uses his organizing background to help build and grow the people power at TogetherSF.

Event Manager
Victoria was born in San Francisco, but grew up in Southern California. After spending most of her career planning fundraising campaigns and events, Victoria is back in her native city bringing her expertise to TogetherSF’s programming.
